Laura WielandSince I have started participating in the FAC Ladies Bible Studies on Tuesday mornings, my studying habits and understanding of God’s Word has really changed!  The scripture we read and characters that we study have really come to life!  I have always loved reading the Bible but at times it has been tough.   It seemed more of a task that I would hurry through.  I was reading the words but they just seemed to be words on a page.  Now, when I’m studying I find myself saying, “What was that?” and “I had no idea that was in the Bible!”   I am always learning something new and God continues to blow my mind in the ways He works!  I have truly enjoyed each of the Ladies Bible Studies that I have participated in at FAC. – Laura Wieland

I’d like to shMike Brownare with you why mid-week Bible study is important to me.  Psalms 11:3 says “If the foundations be destroyed…”  Learning foundational teachings is one of the many benefits from participating in mid-week Bible study.  I personally have reaped such benefits.  I remember sitting in the church awhile back and, for what seemed like forever, studying Acts 1 and 2.  I would go home and re-read the things

that were being taught, argue with the Bible about what “I knew,” get mad and close the Bible, but then feel that desire to study some more.  Then one night (during mid-week Bible study), a revelation happened and God decided to reveal to me the Gospel truth according to His Word!  That following Sunday I was baptized in Jesus’ Name!

Mid-week Bible study may seem to be an easy night to skip out on, but that is a trick of the devil.  Wednesday Bible study is a great opportunity to learn, grow, be challenged, make connections, and have the Word planted within us.  I have left many Wednesday services spiritually uplifted, challenged, and blessed. The great thing about mid-week service is we can get recharged by having God’s Word opened up to us.     –Mike Brown

Bonnie McClellanIt is always a great benefit to me when I study the Word of God.  I do it first thing in the morning after my son goes to school and it always makes my day so much better because God starts my day with me and He travels through the day with me – nice and fresh.  Then, one day I decide I’m too busy so I will study my Bible later.  One day becomes two and then, before I know it, I am completely off track again.

I am in a Ladies Bible Study at FAC right now which helps keep me on track.  It is a tremendous blessing for several reasons:  I belong to a group of ladies that are all doing the study together so that makes me accountable to get into the Bible, not only myself, but to participate in this group.  The fellowship with the women is priceless. We laugh, we talk, we share and we have created a bond with each other that wouldn’t have happened by just saying hello to each other on Sundays and Wednesdays in church.  We all share valuable insights on the study and in life in general.  The Bible study homework not only makes me get into the Word but it helps me decipher the Word and it breaks it down to help me understand it like I never have before.  I can listen to Pastor preach and break it down for me but the Bible study makes me get in there and break it down myself along with these women.  Each woman brings a different thought or insight that others didn’t even think of which just expands what we learn so much more.  That is invaluable.  I have learned so many life lessons from the Ladies Bible Study.  Through each Bible study, I feel like I am maturing in God’s Word and really applying God’s Word to my life.  –Bonnie McClellan

Ladies bible study has been an anointed meeting time and place where I cannot bare the thought of missing it!  Iron truly sharpens iron in this class led by Sis. Jamie Ball.  As we come together to share our personal time we spend in the Word and our daily assignments, I find it truly encouraging and look forward to each weekly encounter! – Shalonda Cheatham
